How to install a GPS System in a car?

Remote car starter, keyless entry, security system, difficult or not so bad?

  • I've been thinking about getting a Bulldog Security Deluxe car remote starter, keyless entry, security system package for my 2003 Ford Crown Victoria P71 (Police Interceptor). I sell police interceptors to the public and in order for us to confidently finance those with not so perfect credit, we install GPS engine interrupters on our vehicles (just for the record, the customers know about them). My point is that I have installed several of these GPS interrupter systems and was wondering if since I have a basic knowledge of vehicle electronics and know where what ignition wires are on my car, how difficult would it be for me to install this system on my car? They provide a step-by-step DVD and manual and also provide wiring diagrams for my vehicle on their website. I've heard of some people installing one in 2 hours, and others taking days or never even getting finished, even with the walkthrough.

  • Answer:

If you are capable of installing a gps interrupter then you should be fairly familiar with the electrical and ignition system of that model. I shouldn't be very hard for you to install a remotstarterer and securitsystemem and keyless entry
