What size amp should use to power two alpine type rs?

i have two alpine type r 12s the newr edition i need to know what is the perfect amp to run em with out blowin em up but i want people to hear me comin

For starters, to suggest an amp you need to specify whether you have the 2 ohm or 4 ohm version. An amp that makes in the neighborhood of 1000-1200 watts RMS will be plenty for the type R's and you will be heard coming. Remember that a cars stock charging system has a real hard time supporting amps greater than 1000 watts for the most part.
