How do I install aftermarket speakers in a 2000 Toyota Camry?
-
I want to install some 6x9 aftermarket rear speakers in my Toyota Camry. I already have the old speakers out, but the screw holes in the new speakers don't line up with the factory holes. How do I attach the new speakers to the car? (Also I don't have a speaker bracket.)

Answer:
Assuming that the speaker fits securely in the opening without gaps, use self-tapping screws to mount the speaker in the deck metal. You'll just have to make your own holes. If the speaker doesn't fit securely or if there's a gap, you'll need to fabricate or purchase a mounting bracket.
