12" Fi Audio Bl Options?
-
Hey I want a 12" fi bl. I am probably going to get a kicker zx 1000 with it but my question is should I get the 1 ohm or 2 ohm? And also does anyone know how long they take to arrive because I'd like to install it asap. Thanks

Answer:
A kicker zx 1000 amp is only stable at 2ohms, with an output of 1000RMS x1 @ 2ohms. If you get the 1 ohm sub, your amp will not be able to keep up with the sub, and it will either fry or shut off constantly. So, get the 2ohm sub, and make sure that the sub can handle 1000RMS watts, otherwise you'll blow the sub. Also, if you're getting 2 fi bl subs, they will need to be 2ohms, which (wired in parallel) would give a 2ohm load to your amp,
