How are current gas prices affecting your life?

Have Gas prices effected your life?

  • Have Gas prices effected your life? if so, how did it effect you? and what have you or will you do to change it? Are you sending letters of demand out? carpooling, encouraging outher to car pool or walk? pulling together a gas strick? I am very intrested in hearing your plan on what to do about the gas prices, and how they have changed your lives.

  • Answer:

Yes,it caused me to carpool.I have to stay at home instead of going out.On the bright side,I stay home and save money.I'm not out spending at the gas station or the stores.when I do go out it is to work and shopping for food only, and it is always in a carpool, never alone.well I do pick up my son from his mother's but they live in walking distence,so I mainly walk, and when I do drive it isnt but a 10 second drive any way. if you want to protect I will be right behind you.

of course it has effected my life. i find it unbelievable that when i was a kid vacationing with my family we would compete who could find the lowest gas prices, it seems that i remember somewhere in south dakota a price of 69 cents. now we are pushing 3 dollars. the funny thing that my being a little kid looking for those low prices was only a few years back, im only 21. i myself am saddened to see that the american majority only goes "green" when its a matter of money. ive driven a great ULEV civic, (ultra low emission vehicle) that gets great gas mileage and try and carpool as much as possible. at school i either walk in the snow, ride a bike when its not too snowy, or longboard in the dry. right now i own an insight, the honda insight and i love it. i think that america needs to wake up and realize that we are alot closer to running out of oil than we think, that we DO have a corrupt government and demand research on cheap and better alternatives, or at least allow the other alternatives out into the public.

yes gas prices is really getting rough but there is nothing that we can do about it but just buy it if we want to ride and that is it.

They have not really yet for me I work from home, however it will effect all of us soon enough, the Riggs. that bring our food, and other goods we consume every day will have to charge more to travel across the country,so who will pay for that we will with higher food prices, and higher prices for everything else,The airlines are going to have keep raising their prices to cover their losses by spending more on fuel for the planes and so on and so on it's just inevitable that everything else will also have to go up in price to cover the losses spent on gas and oil.

Gas prices have really taken a toll on my life, and the life of family and friends. I am unable to go places I would normally be able to. For example - I cant see my friends and family as often (once a month is to much). I cant go places, going to the mall would normally cost me about $50. with gas and purchases, now the same trip is just over $100. I use be able to fly here or their to see some relitives south, but I cant because airfear has doubled from only a year ago. Traveling is a big issue now, and it makes me sick that no one wants to talk in fear they have a small voice. If every one got together and came up with a presentable plan it would help us all in the long run. I think I will come up with a question, asking WHY no one is doing any thing about it!!!! We could get patitions signed. Write to every Government official possible, encluding Bush. we could all stop driving, and start carpooling. If every one car pooled and never drove alone, do you know how much that alone would save our EARTH and help to bring gas prices down??? Carpooling is so immportant this day and age, or even walking... so many Americans (including my self) need to walk more. Why aren't women calling each other and saying... hey I'm going grochery shopping Saturday, why dont you call Jan, and Joe and see if they want to carpool so we can all go and save on Gas. Put an anouncement up at work saying "I live in the such and such area, any one willing to carpool please contact me, $10. a week per person, room enough for 3 more people" ... at work leave a note in the sugestion box "ask co-workers to carpool". Car pool to church, and other places you go. what kills me, is we have so many oppertunity to save our earth and our pockets, but we are so greedy that we just dont do it. Once voice may not do it, but if we all take a stand to save the country we live in, and consume less resources then our lives would be that much easier, and mowing our lawn wouldnt cost us over $6. to mow. Does a schedule scare us so much that we cant see what the best answer is? sorry.... this is a sensitive topic for me.
