Recommendations for dining alone (solo) in Old Town, Scottsdale AZ?

I will be travelling to Phoenix on business and was hoping to get some suggestions and/or recommendations for solo dining in Old Town Scottsdale, AZ. I won't have a car so this will probably be the best area. I don't mind eating at the bar but I want to feel comfortable in the restaurant environment. Looking for something casual, not to stuffy and would prefer a non-chain restaurant. Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Take your pick. There are TONS of resaurants and bars within walking distance of the mall, which is right on the end of Old Town. Don & Charlie's Bada Boom Pasta Room Blue Wasabi Bourbon Steak Buca di Beppo The choices are nearly endless.

Pink Pony. Friendly place with a show and a good reasonably priced roast beef dinner. You can sit at the bar or a table. I mentioned this place to a friend in a crowded elevator 2000 miles away and most of the people in the elevator had been there.
