Know any good sushi/Japanese restaurants in Santa Clara County (northern california)?

  • Any good sushi/Japanese restaurants in Santa Clara County? My friend, Janice, is having her 22nd birthday, and she's going back to visit her mom in her hometown in San Jose. She's bringing along 5 friends including me, tara, kim, alexa, and hannah. Janice really loves Japanese and all of use (her friends) enjoy eating Japanese also. We are looking for a traditional Japanese restaurant (it can be modern, but has to have good food), has to have at least some sushi, a kid friendly restaurant (for her little sister who is 11), and can't be tooo pricey. The main thing is we want traditional good food and a menu that includes sushi and udon noodles. The Restaurant has to be located in Santa Clara County. Have any ideas for restaurants to recomend? the cities we mainly want them in is San Jose, Milpitas, Santa Clara, and Sunnyvale. Put down other cities if they're really good.

We like Kamakura in Los Gatos! Very small place, but the menu is excellent, service is great. Plus all seats can see out the window to watch the shoppers pass by. Very relaxing. Order the "Caterpillar" and the "911". You won't be disappointed. They each cost around $6.
