Best restaurant to work at for teens?

What is the best chain restaurant to work as a host at?

  • I am a sixteen(16) year old male looking to host at a restaurant. I have experience in smaller mom and pop restaurants washing dishes, but I am looking to host at a chain restaurant. Please base your answers off of: pay, tip out, is the restaurant a good teen working environment, and enjoyability overall at work! I live very close to the "restaurant strip" of the town, so some of the nearby restaurants include: TGIF, Ruby Tuesday, Applebee's, Chili's, Outback, Lonestar Steakhouse, Texas Road House(steakhouse), Red Lobster, Fuddruckers, and others. All answers are well appreciated. Thank You

    Fridays and any restaurant like it will prob help you meet girls but I can imagine its really hard because its always really crowded I think your best bet would be a steakhouse because the more money the food is the more youll get paid I bet Dennys would be incredibly easy too

I would try Red Lobster. I use to work there and it is a great place. Lots of fun and well managed. Good tips for the host as well as higher hourly wages...at least in Canada. I would imagine that it would be the same in the US. Take it from me I had worked in F& B for over 20 years!! Good Luck! :)

My nieces friends tell me the best places that they know of to work are Applebee's, Red Lobster, TGIFridays, and the Olive Garden. From my perspective, Applebees, Red Lobster, and Olive Garden seem to have the happier hosts / hostesses and wait staff. Some of the places you have mentioned I haven't been to i.e. Lonestar Steakhouse, Texas Road House, Longhorn..... so I can't help you there. You sound like a real go getter so you should do just fine. You know what you want and you sound very positive. Good luck! Have a great summer!
