What is Norfolk like?

Has anyone every been to the restaurant "CORA" in norfolk, va? What is it like?

  It's basically casual... but I'd do business casual (like Dockers and a decent shirt) No jeans or shorts... It's okay. I mean... I love the concept. Nancy Cobb designed this place out of fond memories of her greatgrandmother Cora. The food is intended to be Southern with a flair... and I like that Nancy uses lots of local flavors in her dishes. She combines ham with crabmeat... nice flavors there... does a homestyle sort of banana pudding on the brunch buffet... You can dine indoors or outdoors.... I think service when they first opened was excellent... but lately... well... it's gone downhill a bit and staff isn't as happy and attentive as they used to be. I'm not sure what happened. Back in 2004-2005 they were cream of the crop. But lately... well... it's just not what it used to be. I think GreatGrandma Cora would be sad :( I hope you have a nice visit there. Obviously different folks will have different experiences each time. It's definitely worth a visit to check it out for yourself :) Best!
