Why is the Mcdonalds menu in the UK so much better than in the USA?

The UK menu has all the American favorites and a lot more. They have deli sandwiches, a burger called the Tex Mex, a burger called the Great Cheese and Bacon (which looks delicious since it has a cheese crusted bun) and more. Go to http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk to check out the menu. Why doesn't McDonald's bring some of those menu items to the US? McDonald's is an American company, so why are we Americans getting shafted with a boring old menu!?

most likely it is because they did a market research study and found that the products found on a uk McDonald's were not popular in u.s.
