Red Lobster Hostess Attire?

  • So I know this may sound stupid, but just bare with me =) So I just got hired as a hostess at Red Lobster, and yes, they did give me an outline as to what a hostess should wear, all the rules etc, but to be honest, I was nervous as hell when I was at the interview and didn't really pay attention. I'm supposed to show up Monday with my outfit on and here's what I do remember. I must have a white, button down oxford shirt with buttons on the collar; black dress pants (not too tight) that can't have buttons or pockets in the front and must not touch the floor, I can't have more than two rings on each hand, nail polish must not be chipped, no dangling bracelets and all necklaces must be tucked into my shirt; black, slip resistant shoes with black socks. I think that's everything, but are there any other rules/outfit things that I need to know (so I actually sound like I read the paper) and so I show up with the right thing on. And another thing...so I have these black flats with grips on the bottom (they look kinda like a tennis shoe on the bottom, but they are slip-on flats. Will they work because I don't have 70 bucks to spend on a new pair of shoes. Thanks for any help!!! (And please don't leave a smart a$$ remark about how I should've read the paper more carefully...yes, I already know that, go waste someone else's time telling them how stupid they are) =P

    If you have any Tattoo's they need covered up as well and sorry but you will need to get slip resistant shoes or you may get sent home this is due to their insurance policy like if you didn't have the right shoes on then fell and got hurt their insurance wouldn't cover it when you tried to get money for it so it falls back on the owner of that red lobster. I suggest looking around to find a cheap pair and after you have started working their they have books that you can look threw to order a new pair that will be more comfy. But other than that what you have wrote down as what you need to wear is good to go but make sure everything is all nice and ironed because nothing can be full of wrinkles as well. P.S. Do not post anything on facebook or myspace bad mouthing red lobster because they will fire you for it!!

In regards to the slip resistant shoes, what you are describing are not slip resistant shoes. However, the good news is that you don't have to go blow $70 to get a pair of slip resistant shoes. You can go here (http://www.srmax.com/womens-shoes) and find a bunch of black shoes for less than $40. As for having them by Monday, they should ship out same day or next morning, and you should have them this weekend. Not only that, but they'll be better quality and more slip resistant than if you ran down to PayMore or MallWart (sorry, their shoes are awful) tomorrow, for about the same cost. Congratulations on the new job!
