Was Mama Mia's the name of the bankrupt chain of Nashville Pizza restaurants in the late 1990s?
-
I have a disagreement with a friend. I recall in the late 1990s in Nashville & Clarksville, TN that there was an attempt to start a small chain of pizzerias and they were called "Mamma Mia's Pizza". I recall that the stores had set low prices like Ci-Cis does today and Ci-Ci's won and this local chain did not. IIRC, it went bankrupt 1997-1999. I say that this defunct chain was called "Mama Mia's", but my friend says that it sounded like Mama Mia's, and it was actually called a completely different name. Does anyone recall this short-lived pizza chain in Nashville and whether ot not it actually was called Mama Mia's or was it something else? I know that there exists a single Mama Mia's restaurant, but this was a small chain...for awhile.
