What do I do during first day of Walmart's orientation?

Can anyone answer ? concerning walmarts d-day if rehired..help!?

  • I worked for walmart over a year and was terminated due to a d-day. well after 5mos i was rehired, yet no one said anything about my previous work period(and having the d-day) I assumed new hire sorta, new number, so new start. well apparently that isn't so because long story short I was a cashier b4 and came back on the floor..had a mix up. did not realize i was to clock out for 30 min lunch. however on a wed when it was brought to my attention i was told how severe this issue was, talked to were I was to make sure I did in future, and because of my "d-day" (first time being brought up) I could of gotten fired but they would instead consider us having a personal discussion and all is well my job is ok. when it was all over i went to manager and he said it would stay still for the year(up in june) then an assistant was in there and said it would start over..bla bla. next day i go in and end up getting fired after all over the not clocking out. said if ididn'tt have the d-day i would have just gotten a coaching. i was only back 1 month and half and had great work, personality, attitude, everything was going great and i realize i am at fault but i don't understand the d-day policy for rehire. and noone else does either. my mom works at another town and is a supervisorr for remodel...she asked manager at her current store and he says should be clean. so i have one saying you have to be gone 6mos for it to be gone, another saying it starts over when rehired, another who says shouldn't still be there if rehired...does anyone know the answer to this crazy story. ?? i really need to know but honestly just want my job back ;-) thanks for your time!

  • Answer:

I've never worked for Walmart but have friends who did. I do not know what dday is but Walmart has a reputation for being totally unfair to its employees. I hope you are filing for unemployment benefits. Perhaps you should discuss this with a lawyer who specializes in this field. Good luck.
