    In VA only ground based fireworks are legal, so really only fountains and ground novelties like spinners. Here's a google maps search for fireworks in VA: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=BsI&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=va%20fireworks&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl There's also a lot of places like gas stations that sell fireworks, when driving around you'll often see signs on the sides of buildings advertising fireworks. In some areas you can only get fireworks around July 4th. I lived in Loudon County (northern VA) and you could only get fireworks there about a month before the 4th and a few days after so a lot of stands would pop up around that time and then disappear.
