How long do you have to wait after your first telephone interview?

• So I filed a claim for insurance benefits online in Aug of 09, I got a letter in the mail a week or so later stating the amount I would get if I qualified for the benefits. I also got in the mail a claim form which I filled out and sent in the next day. A week or so later again I received a letter in the mail stating that I would have a telephone interview in Sept,09. I hadn't received any other continuing claim form, a check, nothing. So I waited for the interview, which came and went in all about five minutes. The interviewer told me they would call the employer and then get back to me. So again I waited. It's Oct,09 now almost a month since my interview and havent herd a thing. Ive been trying to get threw to EDD which is impossible. The only way to get an answer to a question is to email them, which takes 5 to 10 days for them to respond. So finally I got a response, which was, sir you have a telephone interview in Nov,09. WHAT! This is the second interview, Has this happened to anyone else. Its the middle of Oct and I just got in the mail a letter that looks like a pay stub without the check of course and it states my name, ss number, week paid, which the date is from when I first made a claim back in Aug, and it is for zero dollars. It also states when the claim expires. So is this letter telling me that I am going to get benefits and if so aren't I suppose to get another continuing claim form in the mail. Also, will Edd retro me back to the time I originally filed. Which was almost 100 days ago. If anyone can shed some light on this I would very much appreciate it.

  Its their procedure, it does take a while to get your claim.
