How to get a job in michigan?

  • I am an unemployed teacher in the state of Michigan who graduated from U of M with a 3.97, and experience in the classroom. I also have experience in clerical work. I am beating myself over the head looking for a job, any job. I have applied on line, in person etc, totaling in over 300 resumes. I have had my resume edited by several professionals, and I am at my wits' end. I need a job... like yesterday, what am I doing wrong?

It's nothing you're doing wrong. I am an elementary teacher, and I haven't been able to get a teaching job for over 3 years, and I also had a 3.97 GPA in college. I have been working from home though. That could be something for you to try! I am an online fitness coach, and I love it. If you are into being healthy or wanting to become healthy, this could be something for you to do while you are looking for a full-time job. Look at my profile or e-mail me and let me know if you want more information on something like this. I really wish you luck in finding a teaching job, but unfortunately so many teachers are losing their jobs and newer teachers are out of luck because there are NO JOBS. Please don't feel like it's your fault, because it's not......it took me a long time to realize that and remember that I am a good teacher!
