In Cali, what are some grocery stores that would hire a 14 year old with a permit?

    Well...start with the big one "Safeway." You really have to go to ALL the grocers in person for best results. You may have difficulty with the unionized stores. Give it a try...you won't know if you don't try. Don't be afraid of rejection. It's all about whatever their policies are. When I was 14, I lied and said I was 16. I gave them my mother's social security number and they called me by her name. I wanted to work and I did. Good luck.
