How does Paypal shipping work?

How does int'l shipping work? I live in the USA?

• I'm thinking about starting a business of selling jewelry online and I was thinking about where I could ship to-so is there anything vitally important about international shipping that I should know about-how is it different than shipping to one of the 50 states? Are there any major problems I could run into? Is it more expensive? Do I have to write international in the send to address? Should I make a policy where I will not ship anywhere except the USA? I'm gonna be mailing things from a PO Box-can international senders return things or mail things to PO Boxes? What about overseas places like Alaska or Hawaii? Is that no different than sending something to Maryland or Tenessee? Or is it akin to international shipping?

  Some international carriers such as DHL have policies against shipping jewelry (not sure why) so I would research that. If it is costume-type jewelry you would be ok... At the USPS there is one extra form to fill out for international, it will ask for the Sender's and the Ship To address, as well as a description of the package contents and the value associated with it. It is a bit more expensive but not too bad. If you want to save yourself the trouble of post office, etc. you can also direct Intl customers to sign up with http://www.BongoUS.com, then you ship domestic only. Again, not sure about restrictions on jewelry though. Good Luck!
