    there is a shampooer in wal-mart that sells for a little more than the cost of renting. we bought one and instead of using all the cleaners that they have, we use dawn dishsoap. it works a lot better and the smell is not as pugnent as the cleaners. we do 1 part dawn to 10 parts water

That is easy.. not only in Oklahoma (Tulsa) but in most any other city, one can rent carpet shampoo machines at ANY Home Depot or Lowe's store. Also, Walmart's rents the machines to its customers. I forgot exactly what the cost is but is is somewhere around $17 for 12 hours. In addition, however, one must purchase the shampoo liquid to put in the machine and that is about $6.50. I am sorry I do not know exactly what the cost is... I should because I rented one two weeks ago but forgot the exact cost.
