How hard is it for a fourteen or fifteen-year old to get a part-time job? (besides child labor laws)?
-
When I was that age I couldn't get a part-time job anywhere. I'm just wondering if other people who are that age now have the same problem or not.

its pretty stinkin hard. most people dont want to hire that young because they think they are unexperienceed in the work force or "at that age" (as my mom says) when kids backtalk and stuff.

its still a ***** to get a job. I'm 16 and I had to convince my brother to get me a job where he works because nobody would hire me. Most places wont hire people below 16 years of age...and when they do...they're pretty rude to them. ..haha. I get decent hours and stuff (30 per week) but thats just because its fast food. haha.

It still is very difficult because most places now won't hire minors due to reasons dealing with contracts and insurance. But at 14-15yrs. of age there's always babysitting which pays about $10 per hour or if you are CPR/EMT certified then $20 per hour.
