Why doesn't Yahoo email search work?

Yahoo email search does not work / not working / doesn't work?

  • I know emails I'm searching for exist in my Yahoo email but the searches keep coming back with "no emails were found matching your search". Sometimes, after repeatedly trying (for the same search string), the search magically returns results. I can see (online) several others had similar problems with Yahoo mail months (years) ago. Anyone else having similar problems now? Isn't it ridiculous an online search company having this happen to their own email platform? Anyone know what the issue is? Yahoo? Are you going to fix this? Thanks for any input.

    Seems to be a re-occurring problem as I've been experiencing the same thing since about 6 months ago. I've seen other OLDER posts ( some as far back as a year ago) on Yahoo Answers regarding the same problem, so the response from Yahoo that their techs are currently working on it is nonsense. This has always been their answer. Those of us who depend on emails for important personal as well as business purposes can find it extremely inconvenient and frustrating. Yahoo, will this problem be resolved anytime in this Millennium?

I am a paying business email user and I called them several months ago asking about this problem. The person in tech support said this was a known issue and they had been working on it but couldn't give any timeframe for a fix. It is just horrible, I rely on accurate search on a daily basis and I'm looking to change email providers now.

Yahoo mail search absolutely not working. it just searches the only last some couple of months but does not search all the mails from previous years, its absolutely shatter - bad. do not know others also having same problems.

The search feature hasn't been working correctly for the past few months. For some it's sporadic. Yahoo has their engineer working on the problem, they don't know how long it will take to get it fixed. They have also been upgrading the servers which caused a problem when trying to fix the search feature.
