How to retrieve lost messages?
-
My yahoo mail was hijacked two days ago. My list of contacts and all my messages were removed. Thereafter persons on my email list received a 'distress' email from me stating I was in Aberdeen and needed money. Now a friend of mine said Yahoo can retrieve my stolen (1500) messages of the past 7 years. And perhaps my contact list. Question: Can Yahoo retrieve/restore my messages and/or contact list, which were removed by a hacker?

Answer:
On your mail page click on Contacts then in the left hand panel click on Deleted contacts And you should be able to get them back in there click on this link and if it's been less than 24 hrs "But try it anyway" there is a chance to get them back. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/basics/basics-01.html Good luck.
