How do I change the time setting in my email to send the correct time when an email is sent?

  • When I send an email, I need the time (when you received it) to read the actual time, to say when I sent out the email.

    The time displayed in Yahoo Mail is the time that the email was received at the first email server. It is always displayed using the time zone there. The full headers will show you the time zone. I have tried changing the time zone in my account info and it has no effect on the time that is displayed. ₪ ɦəlʞɹɐq ₪

Make sure you are connected to the Internet. Open Date and Time in Control Panel. Click the Internet Time tab. The Internet Time tab is not available if your computer is a member of a domain. Click Update Now. Notes To open Date and Time, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Date and Time. For Yahoo mail > Open mail page > upper right corner Options > Next mail options > In the left pane > Calendar > Under Personalisation > General preferences > In the middle of the page > Date & time - Time zone. Check or Adjusted your time zone here > Save changes when you're done.

Click on the 'Options' link at top right corner of mail screen. Options / Mail options Click on 'account information' in list to left of screen. You will have to enter your password. Click on the 'Edit' link at end of 'Member information' line, you can change your time zone here. When done, click on the 'Save changes' link at top left of screen
