How to enable yahoo answers email communications?

I am trying to email ppl that have been answering my questions. I have alredy checked the little box that says via yahoo manager. it still doesnt show my email to others, or will let me email other ppl. why wont it work and how do i make it work?

So far you've only enabled IM contact - go back to your profile by clicking on your avatar or <my activity> at the top of this page, click "edit my preferences", click "privacy & communications" at the top, scroll down to "the answers community can contact me" and enable mail contact, hit submit.
