Can you reactivate your account?

Can I reactivate my Yahoo! e-mail account even though I deleted it?

  • I deleted my Yahoo! e-mail account today. However, I was signed up to Flickr with that account and they "merge" the Yahoo! ID and the Flickr account name together - they are FOREVER linked, but I didn't know that until it was too late. Since I deleted my old e-mail account, I cannot log into Flickr with my new e-mail address. I desperately need my old account back. Is there a way to contact Yahoo! so that they can reactivate the account? I've had my Flickr site for nearly two years and have over 2,000 photos on it. And it's a paid account! I'll be wasting money if I can't use it. Pleeeeease help! It would be very much appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction :D thanks!

  • Answer:

I would contact Flickr, actually. As you mentioned, you've paid for that space, bandwidth and permissions, I would think since they've got your money, you'd have a much better shot at getting access into your account that way than through Yahoo - a free email provider... That's the route I'd go, anyway.

I'm guessing you probably can't. Sorry! But contact customer service and get a real answer from someone who knows what they're talking about.

I doubt it. It's like catching a fish and letting it go - you are unlikely to get it back. I've had my Yahoo ID since Yahoo was in diapers - about 10 years now. I suppose you could write them.

Sorry to disappoint you but I don't think that there's anything that Yahoo can do... :( I hope that they can do something...somehow... E-mail them explaining the situation. If you can tell them @ approximately what TIME & day this happened, maybe they'd be able to reactivate it... Hope this helps ! (W/ comps, even tho you can delete info fr the hard drive, you can access it buy paying a comp tech to retrieve it for you. It costs x amount for x amount of letters tho for typed documents). I don't know if they can do that if you deleted an e-mail acc't. You prob shoulda e-mailed Yahoo &/or Flixter& they woulda e-mailed you back saying whether you needed that acc't or not. Good luck !!! W/ hotmail I tried to get an old e-mail back but it wasn't possible... If I were to try to make the same acc't again it'd say that it was used or that I couldn't make that acc't... something like that.
