What is AT&T's contact email?

Old email addresses that are no longer in my contact database are still popping up when I start a new email?

  • I've recently had a few friends change their email addresses. I updated their contact info, deleting the old email address and replacing it with the new one. For some reason, when I go to start a new email and begin typing their name, their old email address still pops up as an option. Why is this happening? It's very confusing... for instance, I had a friend change from yahoo.com to hotmail.com so when I'm sending her an email I can't remember which one is the NEW ONE. If I go to my contact info for her there's only one email address. WHY are these old email addresses popping up?

  • Answer:

You are not alone. This should not be happening. It is part of the disruption caused by Yahoo's recent mail upgrades. They are working on it. You have to wait.

Other answers

It's nothing to do with what's in your Contact list. "Cookies" in your browser remember stuff which you often typed before. As you type the new addresses more often than the old, your pop-up list will gradually change. You could also get rid of an old address by hovering your mouse pointer over it in the list and clicking Delete.

An.....

NEW YAHOO! MAIL IS STILL UNSTABLE....IT WOULD BE BEST TO GO BACK TO YOUR PREVIOUS VERSION OF YAHOO! MAIL... To go back to YAHOO! MAIL CLASSIC... Turn off Javascript - you'll then be asked if you want to return to Mail Classic, click "yes". If you don't know how to turn off Javascript... For SAFARI: Open SETTINGS>click PREFERENCES>>click SECURITY>>Uncheck ENABLE JAVA and ENABLE JAVASCRIPT IMPORTANT:Remember to RE-ENABLE JAVA and JAVASCRIPTING back ON when you are back in Mail Classic because without it some mail functions won't work. For IE: Open TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS >> SECURITY. In security click "CUSTOM LEVEL" -> disable active scripting in the scripting section. IMPORTANT:Remember to turn JAVASCRIPTING back ON when you are back in Mail Classic because without it some mail functions won't work. For FIREFOX: Open TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> CONTENT, click on "DISABLE JAVASCRIPT". Now hit F5 to refresh the page while you are in Yahoo! email in order to switch back... In the options, click (PERMANENT) to switch back to YAHOO! Classic. DO NOT click the "ONE TIME ONLY" option. IMPORTANT: Turn JAVASCRIPT back ON once you have your "CLASSIC" account back.
