How do i get yahoo classic back?

**HOW do I get the CLASSIC Yahoo back?

  • I really despise the "improvements" that Yahoo has been making lately. As far as I'm concerned it wasn't broken, so it didn't need "fixing"! Okay, I'm lazy, so I need to know how to get the Yahoo Classic screen back and KEEP it; as it is now, I'll switch over and the next time I go to read my e-mails, there's that damned new screen again...taunting me. ALSO- Even in the latest version of the "Classic" screen, the area that used to say "compose" has been changed to read "new". I'd like to get the "compose" category back. Can this be done? Any help for "tech challenged" little ol' me? I appreciate the help. MANY thanks.

    From the mail screen over to the right click Options. Look up to the top and click Mail Classic, if it says All New Mail, then you are using the classic mail. Yahoo is adding features and making changes to the classic, we can't get it back the way it was. If you want to change the homepage back to the original and Keep it, clear the browser cache of cookies and temp files, THEN RESTART the computer, if you don't restart, then it won't stay, then use this link. http://www.yahoo.com Or go to the bottom of the new page and click under About Yahoo, Return to the classic homepage. But for most doing it that way, it just returns to the new page shortly, also many said that option is no longer there. As far as the mail goes, no one is happy about these changes. Take a look at your Contact list, address book. It's very inconvenient.

i agree. i have trouble with the new screens they keep pushing out on us without choice. i went to gmail ... same problem , they can't wait to unload a new version and push it out to you. now it is really screwed up . i am typing emails sending them and people are getting them blank. once in awhile i see a messsage note pop up that says can't load rich text editor , which also, sometimes shows in yahoo. this is one of the cheif reasons i need the "classic " style versions of email. arrghghgh

If you have the new version of Yahoo Mail, click on the 'classic mail' link at top left of mail screen. If you have Yahoo classic, click on the 'All new mail' link at top left of mail screen. Make sure you save the Yahoo cookies as that is where some of your Yahoo settings, and changes are kept.
