Yahoo is my e-mail provider, I need to know its URL address?

Got a suspicious email today from yahoo i need to know if it is real or not?

  • The email came address from yahoo but the format of the email was very strange, not yahoos style. The email address associated with it was [email protected], it said Yahoo! Mail Security Alert Dear Customer Information does not match your email account, carefully Revalidate your account by. Failure to do so your account will be deactivated.

  • Answer:

It is a 'phishing' spam to get your information - it's not real! Yahoo does not need your information again, nor does it de-activate your account unless it is inactive. <[email protected]> is not a valid Yahoo address either! Spammers are run by criminal big-business organizations now, and it is very easy to fake or 'spoof' a sender's address. Chances are it came to your Spam box - for a reason. Be very careful even opening Spam mail ... some can install malware even before you click a link.

If there are links in it, do not click them. Delete the email and when you sign in to Yahoo, if there's anything wrong it should tell you.

I don't think Yahoo deactivates accounts if you don't validate. I don't even think you can validate it. I am not sure but I think it is fake.

It's fake
