How do I make mail that comes to my Yahoo inbox go to the junk folder, so that it gets deleted after a while?
-
Hi, I joined this discussion group that sends an email every time someone posts comments. I know I can delete them myself, and have tried just clicking on 'Spam" on the emails I already have, but new ones keep coming to inbox? How can i make them automatically go to Spam? Thanks

Answer:
Most likely if you go to your discussion group website and look at your preferences or settings for that group you will find a setting to not get emails from that group but instead you can check back on the group website to see the posts group members leaves. You might also see a link at the bottom of one of those emails to click to take you to that setting for the group. Though this is not recommended for real spam because it would alert them that your email address is valid. I have been a member of a couple groups in the past and I had such options. Other than that you could try what another person suggested and block the emails from that group. You can also set up a filter, if the emails are all from the same source with the same email address to automatically redirect those emails to your Trash. There are 2 ways. Did you try them both ? 1- from your inbox, check the spam messages and then click on "spam"; 2- open a spam message and then click on "spam". If Yahoo works correctly on your system, both ways should add the addresses to the spam list and further messages from the same addresses should be directed to the spam folder automatically. If neither solutions work, it's an issue with Yahoo, supporting fully only the latest software versions. Yahoo is years ahead of its time, it's programming staff assuming that everybody has high-speed internet, the latest versions of Vista, Flash and Messenger.

On the top right, click options > mail options > spam > blocked email address > Enter the email address in the box. They will not go to spam, they will be blocked from your inbox.

Go to ( Move to ) and mark it as junk, the next mail will go automatically to the junk box.
