How do I disable Yahoo messenger on my new Yahoo mail?

How can I disable my yahoo mail which is connected to my yahoo messenger?

  • One of my yahoo account suddenly quit working. It is telling me that my password is invalid to which I am certain that I'm typing the correct one. It seems to me that somebody is using it because my messenger ID goes online sometimes. I assumed that somebody change the information in my sign-up because I cannot retrieve my password at all. Is there anyway I can disable my account?

    Yahoo gives you choice to retrieve password. Why don't you retrieve the password and change it. In yahoo mess anger do not click auto log in , do it whenever you want to open messenger.

Looks like someone did actually get your ID and changed the password.Once that is done you loose your control .. Too bad . Why dont you keep a tab on your Online status and get the domain number of the ISP that the other guy is using and track him down . If you are able to see your YahooID online , you may wanna send some IMs and get chatting and get more info ..But as far as retrieval is concerned, sorry
