How do I delete a Yahoo! Mail account, but still keep your nickname, groups, etc.?
-
I just got a Yahoo account so I could use IM and groups and things, but I have another e-mail account that I use. Is there any way that I can delete my Yahoo! Mail account without losing my groups, messenger screenname, etc.?

Answer:
you can just let yahoo account expire or go and call them and request to be removed. That will not effect your other accounts.

I DON'T THINK SO, U COULD PROBABLY SIMPLY NOT OPEN YOUR MAIL AND MAKE MESSANGER STOP REMINDING U TO DO SO! BUT, I THINK U SHOULD TALK 2 YAHOO SUPPORT!

If you don't want to use Y.Mail, just don't use it. You are still free to use the other areas of Yahoo. As long as your friends and family know that you are not using that email address, just leave it and never open it.
