How does one get the blue line on the left side to break so one can reply point-by-point to an e-mail? Thanks.

I am trying to reply to an e-mail. There is a vertical blue line on the left edge of the reply box for attribution. I am trying to reply to each point the other person made individually rather than top- or bottom-posting, if you understand what I mean. I can't get the line to break. On other e-mail services (which usually use the < character on the left edge for attribution) I can simply break into the message and create a "non-<" line, if you understand what I mean, with the "Enter" key. That apparently doesn't work with Yahoo Mail and the blue line. This is driving me nuts! I don't want my reply misattributed and I don't like to top-post. Sometimes I feel like going back to GMail! Why is the attribution done through a blue line on Yahoo Mail anyway? The < character is pretty much standard on all other services, it has become like an international standard. Changing it is like changing the red octagonal STOP sign to a green round sign that says PAUSE! Come on, this is ridiculous.

Hi! I think I know what you are saying. After reading the specific mail, click on reply and the same letter should reappear in a window. You say you do not like top posting so simply go directly into the text of your red'd letter and type where ever you may. The enter key is always going to allow you space when you click it twice. I do this all the time and simply use a different text colour! Hope this helps!

the only way i can think of is to go to the original email, copy the info to the clipboard, then paste it into the reply. then you wont have the blue line.
