Why is mail so slow?

Any idea why my Yahoo! Mail is running slow?

  • Over the past few weeks, my Yahoo! Mail has been running incredibly slow. When I reply to an email or compose a new message, it takes about 30 seconds before the curser appears in the message area and I can start typing. I don't think the problem has anything to do with my computer because all the other websites I visit regularly are working just fine. Is anyone else's Yahoo! Mail running slow? Could this mean that I need to delete some of my saved messages? I never delete my sent mail, and I save a lot of messages from family and friends. Over the past few years, I'm sure these saved messages have built up... I don't see any mention of a space quota on the website though. Any suggestions? Thanks for your advice!
