What does 'cc' mean? You know, for email?

You know how when you send an email to more than one person, you sometimes fill out the 'CC' and 'BCC' boxes? What do they stand for?

cc stands for carbon copy addresses placed in this line will receive the same Email as the main addressee AND their addresses will show up in the header of the original Email once it is received bcc stands for blind carbon copy addresses placed in this line will receive the same Email as the main addressee BUT their addresses will not be revealed as receipients of the Email to the any of the others that are sent!!! carbon copy ,a copy of your email goes to not only who you have choosen but to those secondary people placed on the cc line ex ;to,mom cc:dad,bro,sis,gramz,dog,fish

CC is from the Old Style of Typing Letters. CARBON COPY. When you CC your Mail the Original Recipient can find out to whom the SAME Mail has been Copied. But when you BCC [Blind CC] None of the Other Recipients get to know that mail has been copied to other person [s].
