Can I use my yahoo free email address for outlook express 6?

How do i send email using outlook express 6, i have yahoo mail address, and use bt broadband, thanks?

    It´s simple And you DON´T need yahoo mail plus First if you haven´t already done so go to your yahoo mail page click options(right hand side top) on the centre column under management 2nd paragraph click on Pop access & forwarding select WEB & POP Access and follow instructions THEN in outlook express Go to Tools, Accounts, click 2nd tab Mail , click Add then Mail fill in display name, click next, fill in email address, click next, Type pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk in the Incoming Mail, and Type smtp.mail.yahoo.co .uk then click next your user or account name is your email address but without @yahoo.co.uk fill in your password then tick outgoing mail server now requires authentication. (if you dont tick this you wont be able to send mail) Click "OK." and then close and away you go You also need to set it as your default mail address Hope this helps To the answer underneath this is correct for outlook Express it works every time

you cant set up a yahoo adress through outlook as it doesnt use the same mail system, but you can use the bt address through there , just contact bt for their incoming mail server ( should be POP / IMAP) and their outgoing mail server, add a new account to it and most of it is self explanatory, if u need a lot of help visit the microcrap website... try this one.... office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX010857931…

Probably it's imposible for yahoo- If you don't buy from it (yahoo POP 3).It is for MSN or G-mail free,you can use Outlook Express or other for g-mail or msn or other like them but when you will use of mail server like yahoo!,you just should use services within site.

Last (but one) answer is wrong, the last is right. Go to Yahoo mail and click mail help in top right corner. Then look for Outlook settings. Just remember to change outgoing STP server to 587 not 25. Mine works just fine, Outlook 2000, Win Xp tracking Yahoo, Google and Tiscali mail addresses no problemo. PS You might have to enable POP3 and SMTP in windows firewall as well. That's the usual reason thing don't work.
