I cant get into my Yahoo.com mail box?
-
I can login to my yahoo.com account without any trouble. But I cant then get into my mail box. When i try, I am taken to a password verify page. I enter my password again, and it ignores my password and repeatedly asks for me to enter it. I CAN enter my account details, and profile. I can change my password, and do anything related to my account, and use messenger. BUT I cant access my mailbox. When I go to the Yahoo home page, and use the mail/quick-view button, it reports that there has been an error, and that i should try again later. When i try the mail button for the full view, i get taken to the password verify screen. I have logged this with Yahoo help, and they have been USELESS. I have been without my mail for almost a week now. Either they don't know or they don't care. But either way I can't get in to my mail. The one exception to this is using m.yahoo.com/mail. that lets me, but as you might know, its a limited interface and not that good. I have tried rebuilding my laptop, installing firefox, and also tried from a friends computer. No matter what I try I cant access my yahoo.com mail box. I even created another yahoo.com account to test it out. And I CAN get into this new account mail box with no trouble at all. Has anyone had this problem and if so did you get a fix? Thanks

If you haven't done so already, clear out your browser cookies and cache. Run your anti-virus and spyware programs. When you set up your email account did you enter another email address as backup for sending passwords? Check that email address. Also, if you are able to get to the settings to switch from classic mail/updated version, switch it back or to the alternate. See if that helps. It's possible your account was hacked into. Easy to do now that people answer posts on surveys that ask questions about what is your favorite animal, first car, etc. Those are all security questions that are used to recover passwords and leaves people vulnerable to getting their accounts hacked into. If all of those steps fail, CALL the Yahoo customer service reps - see the hyperlinks below for yahoo.

Hi, I'm having the same issue. I'm not even able to retrieve e-mail from the mobile interface, although for a day I was able and then stopped working at all. I tried several things computer, browsers, changed password. Any other ideas? I tested sending myself an email from another account, the e-mail got bounced back after a couple of days. Not really sure what's going on. I can log into all Yahoo services except for e-mail : ( ---- I opened a ticket with yahoo support a few days back, today I heard back from them, and they fixed my issue. I'm able to access my e-mail now. Thank you Yahoo!
