What are the closed/defunct Yahoo! services?

  • I keep getting odd emails from here, [email protected]… saying yahoo are going to be chargeing from the 31st of jan 2010 this is what it says Dear Valued Member, Due to the congestion in all Yahoo users and removal of all unused Yahoo Accounts,Yahoo would be shutting down all unused Accounts,You will have to confirm your E-mail by filling out your login info below after clicking the reply botton or your Account will be suspended within 24 hours for security reasons. YAHOO ACCOUNT VERIFICATION ALERT !!! (KMM69467VL055834KM) Due to the congestion in all Yahoo Accounts, Yahoo would be shutting down all unused Accounts, You will have to confirm your E-mail by filling out your Login Information below after clicking the reply button, or your account will be suspended within 24 hours for security reasons. Login --------------------------------------… If you are a Yahoo! Account Premium subscriber, your current subscription will be canceled on January 31, 2010 if you refuse to update your account. We will refund the unused portion of your Premium subscription, if any. The refund will appear as a credit via the billing method we have on file for you. So please make sure that your billing information is correct and up-to-date. After following the instruction on this sheet your account will not be interrupted and will continue as normal We appreciate your being a Yahoo! Account user. Sincerely, Yahoo! Customer Support can anybody help me here plese i'm getting them everyday, i have a free yahoo accment!

    Yahoo would not ask you for your personal information in an E-mail like that. It is a scam to get your personal information and/or your money, or both! Do not respond to it. Report it, forward it to the FTC at [email protected] and to the abuse desk of the sender's ISP. For yahoo, report them here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ya... Choose Fraud as the reason for the violation you're reporting on. Also, if the E-mail appears to be impersonating a bank or other company or organization, forward the message to the actual organization.
