How do you get the mail classic back?

I want classic Yahoo mail back please. How can I get that?

  • The New Yahoo mail is REALLY BAD for my use case. I often work (Used to ) on multiple messages in multiple tabs in my browser. The old mail worked great for this. Some of these messages used to be open for days, as I work on complex problems and they take time to "Digest". The new mail .... => Will not let me open multiple messages in multiple tabs in my browser. This really sucks !!!! => Once a message IS open in a tab, it EXPIRES in about 24 hours. Hey ... I was working on that ... give it back !!! => I occasionally use sattelite connection to the internet, with long latency. The new Yahoo mail SUCKS for that. I'll bet it sucks for dial up too ! How do I get my good old classic Yahoo mail back ?? PLEASE give me the classic Yahoo mail option back !!!! Thank You.

    Classic is STILL available and according to Yahoo will remain an option----even tho they removed the link to go back to it. Try this bit of trickery to (quickly and permanently) get back to Classic. Just lower the page "resolution" to the point where it won't support the Beta version. FIRST----Go to>>your desktop and right click on it>>click on "properties">>click the "settings" tab>>and lower the resolutions>>click OK (and/or "apply"). You "may" then be required to restart your computer. THEN-----Once you've gone back to your mail page ---you will be told that your resolution is too low and asked if you want to switch to Classic as the "default" or "permanently"---(DO NOT click the "one time only"). AFTER changing your mail page back to Classic---- GO BACK and return the page resolution to normal, (so things will continue to work). ********************************* In Classic you will STILL get the Prompts to upgrade (for a while)---but just click "No Thanks" OR "I want to stay on Classic" (teeny writing bottom of page). Eventually the prompts will stop (per Yahoo)

Once you have the new Mail Regular, you will no longer be able to switch back to All New Mail and/or see a switch-back link to Mail Classic, but I'm slightly visually impaired and found an interesting workaround a few weeks ago to at least get back to Mail Classic: lower your screen resolution, and as soon as it's too low for the new mail, you will get a message displayed asking if you want to switch to Mail Classic. Click "yes". Of course you can switch back to your original screen resolution once you have mail classic back..:-) Another option: turn off Javascript - you'll then be asked if you want to return to Mail Classic, click "yes". In case you don't know how to turn off Javascript... For IE: tools -> internet options -> security. In security click "custom level" -> disable active scripting in the scripting section. Remember to turn Javascripting back on when you are back in Mail Classic since without it some mail functions won't work For Firefox: tools -> options -> content, click on "disable Javascript". Now hit F5 to refresh the page while you are in yahoo email in order to kick in the option (permanent) to switch back to classic. Do not click on the "one time" option. Turn it back on once you have your "Classic" account back.
