How do I open emails with doc attachments?

Have you had difficulties opening attachments to emails?

  • For the past few days I have been unable to open some attachments to emails. Even simple, short .doc or .jpg attachments. Any suggestions? (I have recently upgraded NORTON Anti-Virus).

    When I upgraded Norton (long time ago) I had great difficulties sending/receiving emails with attachments. After I got rid of it and installed other antivirus thing the problem was gone. I suspect Norton is giving you trouble!

that is probably the problem,not sure tho.I think when it updades it goes to default settings meaning trying to keep you totaly safe,does not allow certain attachments.look in nortons settings,I had it and had to chuck it out cose it was causing me problems.

Save your attachment as "Save as" in any of your files and open it from there. Usually it works even with the latest Norton installed

hmmmm no.........although at times it takes a while. I have Norton, Desktop Manager, Spysweeper but one of the best thing I did was downloading Mozilla Firefox. Sometimes it does not allow me to open some attachments ( have to click on Control X) but I found it the best way to keep viruses at bay.. Good luck...
