Why doesn't yahoo let me check my email?

WHAT IF I DONT WANT TO UPGRADE TO THE NEW YAHOO MAIL!? wth Yahoo!? I want to check my friggin email!!?

  • seriously what the hell is wrong with yahoo?? i dont want to upgrade and on one email account it keeps asking me to upgrade and wont even show the "no thanks, continue to yahoo mail" and its really pissing me off cuz i want to check my email and it wont let me.

    Hello there, Yes, that link posted: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/context/migrationv2.html keep it handy and keep on clicking "However, if you do not want to upgrade, please click here (blue) to use Yahoo! Mail Classic.", and I hope it keeps working for you! Bookmark it, add it as a favorite, email the links to your self. This is what it LOOKS like: https://sites.google.com/site/classicyastuff/ (Link takes you to a website I MADE to share with you so that you could see what the screen looks like). USA & Canadian friends logged in and expected ‘Click here to continue to Classic mail was NOT there. They clicked on everything except for going to the new, and found that clicking on HELP led them to pages that allowed to go to Classic again. If that stops working for you these THREE links that worked today, October 2, 2011, (I have 3 more if these stop working) that’ll RETURN and launch your email back to the ORIGINAL Classic Mail, but you may need to continue clicking on the links each time you log in. Bookmark them, save to your favourites or email them to yourself. http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/launch http://us.mc598.mail.yahoo.com/mc/welcome http://mrd.mail.yahoo.com/switchclassic If you click on the links and it doesn’t automatically open to Classic mail, copy & paste the address from your browser into a new window, and press enter. Yauoo has hidden this link (below) in the middle of one of their "useless" pages that has been reported to be a permanent fix---and even stops future "prompts to upgrade" It's different than some of the links given which are only temporay. Try it. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/context/migrationv2.html When the page opens---scroll down about midway until you see this---"What if I don’t want to upgrade to the newest version of Yahoo! Mail"?----IF you do not want to upgrade, please "click here" to use Yahoo! Mail Classic. ("click here" is a blue link). Then--!wham!--before you can blink an eye, you're in Classic.

I was so mad I gave in... Keep this if they automatically switch you, I use Internet Explorer and could not find a solution to switch back to Classic Mail permanently after 2 days of pulling my hair out, lots of problems... I went to CONTACT YAHOO CUSTOMER CARE, then clicked on LIVE CHAT, told them my old computer can not handle it, and they switched me back 5 to10 min. total, no problem! Don’t forget to vote for best answer. Good Luck!

Sorry, but you will have no choice. I tried and failed. The new mail is better but takes some time to figure out. Took me 3 hours. Once you go to the new mail you are not permitted to go back and can't go back.
