Why do I have problems with texting through yahoo?

Why problems between yahoo and gmail?? ?

  • I have problem with forwarding emails from my yahoo-account to my gmail account. They disseappear some where on the way, which means I don't get them at all. This forwarding has been working until a week ago. I have also problems with sending mails to yahoo-accounts from my gmail account as well as my yahoo account, i keep getting the following message: "This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [email protected] Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 relaying denied for <[email protected]> (state 14)." I know that this mail address is valid since it is my own, other yahoo-addresses don't work either. I have also removed the forwarding of my mails and the problems still exists. I have also problems with sending mails from one yahoo-account to another. I have posted this problem on the google website, and gotten the answer that the problem is with Yahoo. Does anyone have the same problem??? It's getting frustrated not getting all the mails!! /Ulrika

  • Answer:

I'm having the same problem and I have no idea what to do and am getting very frustrated too since I use my yahoo-mail for work! So if somebody out there could give a hint what to do I would very much appreciate it. The thing about "you have to "check for new mail" before you try to send mail" doesn't help me I'm afraid - anyone else??? Please???

Error 550 is an unauthorized relay error. That means that the mail server wouldn't let you send because you aren't authenticated to send mail or that you're trying to send mail through an unauthorized mail server. Your Web Networks email addresses (including domain emails) use what is called "POP authentication", this means that when you open your mail account you have to "check for new mail" before you try to send mail. This is because when you check mail your program sends your username and password to our server which authenticates you and allows you to send mail on our server. http://action.web.ca/home/support/faq.shtml?x=84607&AA_EX_Session=c56669eebfc5e13a195abd9bd68a985b
