How do i retrieve my old contacts folders?

Is there any way to retrieve my folders that disappeared when I switched to the "New Yahoo Mail?

  • Valuable contacts and information appears lost forever now that I've switched to the "New Yahoo Mail". The time spent organizing folders over the years and the many emails saved to those folders are apparently lost. Please, does anyone know if there is a way to retrieve those folders?

    Maybe this can help you, I use Internet Explorer and could not find a solution to switch back to Classic Mail permanently after 2 days of pulling my hair out lots of problems! I have not found links work permanently, I went to CONTACT YAHOO CUSTOMER CARE, then clicked on LIVE CHAT, told them my old computer can not handle it, and they switched me back 5 to10 min. total, no problem, and they do not prompt me to switch anymore! You can also call Yahoo USA, but you will wait forever! 1-866-562-7219. Don’t forget to vote for best answer. Anyway Good Luck!

The only way (apparently) is to switch back to Classic (which is the ONLY old version you can get back to)----it's quick and easy. Yahoo has "hidden" this link (below) in the middle of one of their "useless" pages---and it has been reported to be a permanent fix---and even stops future "prompts to upgrade" It's different than some of the other links, that have been given, which are only temporary. Click this link: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/context/migrationv2.html When the page opens---scroll down about midway until you see this---"What if I don’t want to upgrade to the newest version of Yahoo! Mail"?----IF you do not want to upgrade, please "click here" to use Yahoo! Mail Classic. ("click here" is a blue link). Then--!wham!--before you can blink an eye, you're back in Classic
