Hello, How do I check for my email messages on yahoo messenger?

There is a small pop up at the bottom of my screen that says 3 email messages with email messenger. How do I check these? I click on it, but it always takes me to yahoo email. I am confused.

at yahoo email you must re-log in... it's so if somebody wanders by when you have yim on they still can't read your mail
