How can I delete email addresses from mail forwarded to me?

How do I forward a 'forwarded' email without all the other e-mail addresses attached?

  • I get lots of forwarded e-mails that I would like to forward on to others but don't want to send the e-mail addresses shown in the original.

  • Answer:

    before you forward it, go through and delete the old email addresses. then click "forward"

Copy and paste the relevant part of the email into a new message. That's the proper "netiquette" way of doing it - no one likes to scroll through a zillion headers to get to the pertinent message. :)

Copy and paste the body of the email into another blank email...forward it on as a new one by getting rid of the "fwd" in the subject line

select them with your mouse and delete them

When you click on the button to forward the email a copy of the original email shows up on your screen. You can modify this email before you send it. Delete all the old forwarded addresses.
