Retrieving only unread emails from yahoo inbox through Outlook 2007.?
-
Hi all. I've been a Yahoo mail user since many years, and lately I thought to start using Outlook 2007 to read and send my emails. I set up a new account in outlook, and selected to keep the messages on the server. The problem now is that outlook retrieves ALL messages from my inbox folder. I don't wanna download all 1700+ emails which are on the yahoo account. it would take almost 1 GB to download it all, even if i'm keeping a copy on the server. Also, if there is a soution for this - will I be able to combine the use of Outlook 2007 and an email reader on my Windows Mobile 5.0 based PocketPC, so that unread messages are viewed each time I check my yahoo account either on the ppc or on outlook?? It would be basically like checking the mail on HTTP but using outlook or an email client on the pocketpc. Thanks in advance for the help :) Kamal Is there a way to configure Outlook (without using Ypops) to retrieve only unead messages????

Answer:
Your read messages can be put in a Special personal Folder. So you don`t download everytime. There is a setting in Outlook to only retreive Unread messages. Yahoo Mail Plus can do Pop retreival for you. Just go to Yahoo Mail Options to get it.
