How do I change my display name for my yahoo email account?

My yahoo email is being sent by a wrong name, whereas my Yahoo Account name is Right?

  • Whenever i send an email, It delivers as "Mateen Ziad", But my real and yahoo account name (in account detail info section" My name is Hafiz Abdul Mateen. I want to change my display name in sending emails. Kindly guide me accordingly. Regards

    You just need to change the "from line" setting. Mail page>>options>>mail options>>Accounts (from the list on the left)>>THEN click on "Yahoo Mail"---(middle of page, under "Accounts"). Now you can erase whatever is showing, on the "From line" and type in something else---a nickname---or initials---OR ? whatever you want---THEN click "SAVE" changes at the top of that page. You CAN NOT leave that line blank, otherwise Yahoo enters what was previously there or even sometimes puts "False" in place of a name. Some people say you have to log out and then back in, for the changes to be effective----but some find it's "not necessary"-----maybe it depends on your computer ??

Change how your name appears on your emails, On your Yahoo mail page, Options/more options/Mail Accounts In the "From name:" box, enter the name you would like people to see on your email header. You can also change the return address. you can also create an extra account in there. Good luck. J R :)
