How do I check my YAHOO ANSWERS messages?

I have read previous questions, but the answers all say there is no separate inbox for yahoo answers. I don't understand this, because in my yahoo inbox I do not have messages from anyone I know. It is just spam mail. I registered to have a message sent to my AOL account when I receive a message on yahoo. So in order to check my yahoo message, I have to go to AOL, open the email, then click the link to the message in the email. The messages I receive are not in my yahoo inbox. How can I check my yahoo messages without having to go through the notification email?
Answer:

Check and make sure you entered your yahoo email address correctly. It could be going to someone else's box or in cyberspace, while sending the notification to your AOL box. If and when you make changes on your profile page, make sure you hit Save Changes. I don't know if this will solve your problem or not, but it's all I can think of.

What messages? We don't receive messages in Yahoo! Answers. It is not a chat program or an email program. Your question and additional information make no sense. You posted in Yahoo! Mail category, but your question is very clearly about Yahoo! Answers and you talk about AOL mail.. not Yahoo! Mail. How are we supposed to know which it is you're really asking about?
