Yahoo Mail keeps freezing up Safari?

Hello everyone - Safari keeps freezing up (pinwheeling) whenever I'm in my Yahoo mail. I can't do but a couple of steps before the pinwheel appears. I'm using Safari version 5.1.1 and the latest version of Yahoo mail. Any tips, advise or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
Answer:

The spinning "beachball" has been appearing for hundreds of users today. You can't fix it. Yahoo knows about it and will fix it. There are lots of mail problems today.

I've been having that issue for at least a couple months. It gets the spinning wheel of death when I go into my inbox. I quit and try again, then it works fine but its getting annoying..

Mine seems fine and I'm using same. Maybe there is an issue with your phone?
