Why do I keep getting an error message when I use Yahoo?

Why do i keep getting a "add account faile. - general login error" message?

I am setting up yahoo mail on my android phone and i added the app but when i go into it to add my account to use it i keep getting "Add account failed. - General login error"...i checked my e-mail and password several times it is right and it jus keeps giving me the message! please help..
