How CAN I remove embedded Yahoo messenger/chat from my Yahoo email?

You can NOT remove the new Chat feature from your Classic Mail----BUT, you CAN disable it so it doesn’t sign you in when you go to Mail. When the page loads, look for the IM contact list on the left hand side. Click where your status says “Available” and then select, “Sign out of Chat”. This will disable the feature and will remain that way.

There is supposedly a way to do it by going to the general options and selecting no connections or something like that. Since the chat feature was added two days ago my yahoo mail has never worked properly again! I can not send mail and everything about it is very buggy. Things load up the wrong size. Words write onto pictures and it's just screwed up. 48hrs without e-mail working is a long time. Am I the only one with this problem. I just opened a gmail account and I can't even get my yahoo to forward messages >:(

It asked me if I wanted it and I say no now it no longer comes up I am looking for a way to get it back now a friend of my showed me it on his and now I like it Is there a way to turn it back ok to show because my does not even show up or ask me if I want it any more

ALSO, If you set your email yahoo to INVISIBLE, you still show up on other peoples messengers! We have several Yahoo! email account, and not all have the messenger in them. Wish I could disable it! You can click "Cancel" while it is loading, then it won't load. That is the best that I've come up with.

So far, from what I've seen, there isn't anyway to remove or disable it. The only option we have is to "sign-out" I'm trying to complete remove it too. gmail has something similar too.
